PRADA!

I just love Prada. I find the Prada brand to be sexy, modern, quirky with a lot of maturity and downright beautiful. The Fall/Winter 2015 and into winter 2016 season brings in a lot of color and panache. Prada.com
The men's wear like line is quite young but fresh, modern and the fabrics are light and airy, well structured in deep vibrant colors.

Happy Easter!

According to the History Channel - History of Easter http://www.history.com/topics/holidays/history-of-easter
Easter, which celebrates Jesus Christ’s resurrection from the dead, is Christianity’s most important holiday. It has been called a moveable feast because it doesn’t fall on a set date every year, as most holidays do. Instead, Christian churches in the West celebrate Easter on the first Sunday following the full moon after the vernal equinox on March 21. Therefore, Easter is observed anywhere between March 22 and April 25 every year. Orthodox Christians use the Julian calendar to calculate when Easter will occur and typically celebrate the holiday a week or two after the Western churches, which follow the Gregorian calendar.

And wear your finest outfit....Colorful of course!

Those Lingering Trends hit Again in 2016

As we enter into the fourth month of 2016, those lingering trends of 2015 continue, and show up on the streets of every city in the world, including New York, Texas, London, Milan, Paris, Boston.

Lets just take a look at the streets of London, which brings us everything from wide-brim hats, to light-colored trainers, to high-waist jeans, to all white outfits. Torn jeans are also the rage, as well as fringe, bags, embellished boots, leather cover-ups, colorful shoes and playful scarves, monochrome color.

The ladies wore maxi-length capes, a chambray shirt tucked in with those tie-dye jeans, adding a nude pump, which never goes out of style, nor does the color pink, although a bit muted, as with this belted coat with skinny pants.

Then there's the elegant lady in the pencil 2-piece dress in all black. Check out these fashion on the streets of London, photographed by www.ukfashiondesign.com

Oscar Night! Ahhhh! the Academy Awards

This year' 88th Annual awards ceremony held at the Dolby Theater boasted dazzling gowns, perfect hair, sparkling jewels, low-cut, leg out, see-through gowns. Some great. Some not so great. However, Oscars fashion didn't disappoint. I must admit that many of the gowns at the Oscars were absolutely beautiful.

The stars showed off fashions by Chanel, Dior, Louis Vuitton, Guicci, Armani PrivĂ©, Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein, Oscar de la Renta, Atelier Versace, Marchesa, Tom Ford, Stella McCartney. Lady Gaga dazzled in a crisp white jumpsuit with a long full train by Brandon Maxwell. She wore  $8 million in Lorraine Schwartz jewelry.

Charlize Theron amazed in Dior, which was my absolute favorite. Her dress was a slick body hugging, stunning bold red crimson, with a deep cut plunging neckline with jewels. AND the back of the dress was just as deep that complimented her toned shoulders and back. She wore a side-parted short bob and light make-up with a nude lip color. She NAILED it!

I was also drawn to Cate Blanchett in a pale blue Armani deep-cut in the front, with strategically placed flowers. It was mature but girly. It was sexy but not over the top. It draped over her body perfectly. Her hair was side-parted with a side swiped bang. She wore minimal make-up that hit just the right note for the red carpet.

Lets not forget the men. They rocked some major sleek, sexy looks also.

Happy New Year! 2015 Was a Great Year in Fashion

A new beginning starts for 2016 in the fashion world. This past year gave way to some great and awful fashion trends, from pleated skirts to fringe to the extreme. Those trends invaded and captured our closets, showrooms, department stores and boutiques in 2015.

We showed more skin this past year than ever. From the Kardashian Klan, to Miley Cyrus, to Nikki Manaj to Jennifer Lopez and Madonna.

Of course the boy groups influenced fashion this year. One Direction, Harry Styles in floral print. Fashion shows across four cities, New York, Paris, Milan, London bought us many trends. Bohemian, Evening, Trousers/Suits, Gingham, Suede, Lace/Wedding Look, Denim, Floral, Midriff baring, and Fringe dominated 2015.

As we end 2015 and ring in 2016, our lust for fashion will continue. Don't miss the train.

 GOODBYE 2015!!!!
